UPI-native IoT PayGo platform for rural solar
The situation

The client's legacy SMS-code PayGo platform predates India's UPI rails. It couldn't scale to power modern rural solar financing, and the moat sat in fragile device tokens rather than in data and credit.

The hard part

Modernise the device, connectivity, payments, and middleware so pay-per-use solar can scale across unreliable rural networks and support a service business beyond hardware tokens.

What we built on InfiIoT

The solution, layer by layer.

Low-cost certified device modules

NB-IoT/GSM modules, OTA firmware, and OEM SDKs form a six-layer architecture for unattended rural deployment.

MQTT-first connectivity ladder

Meters use MQTT where the network allows and retain an SMS keypad-token fallback for dead zones.

UPI Autopay collections

UPI Autopay mandates handle recurring pay-per-time collections, with WhatsApp confirmations after each payment.

Unified middleware hub

The hub gives Paygee, Angaza, and the legacy KPay integration a shared data and API layer for credit and payment operations.
