VR operator training

Rehearse trips and abnormal conditions on the asset model without stopping the real plant.

What it is

Operators practise failures and abnormal situations in VR on the same twin used to monitor the plant. Scenarios come from site SOPs and incident history. The system records each action and hesitation, then scores the run against the expected response. This training work is a delivered service line, supported by a completed transformer-twin pilot.

How it works

How the model is built, connected, and used on shift.

01

Twin the asset

CAD or photogrammetry becomes a navigable Cesium/Three.js scene bound to the same data model used by the dashboards.

02

Author scenarios

Failure modes, trips, and abnormal operations are scripted from the site's SOPs and incident history.

03

Train in the headset

Guided runs first, unguided assessments after. Every valve turned and every second of hesitation is logged.

04

Score & audit

Competency dashboards per operator, per scenario. Refresher sessions schedule themselves when scores decay.

Top use cases

Where the model changes an operating task.

For the plant head

Emergency drills without stopping production

Operators rehearse trips and failures on the replica while the real asset continues to run.

For the HSE director

Competency evidence beyond attendance

A scored scenario records what each operator did, in what order, and how long the response took. That is more useful in an audit than a signed attendance sheet.

For the L&D head

Capture operating judgement before it leaves

New operators can practise incident response before touching the panel, while experienced staff help turn site judgement into repeatable scenarios.

Bring the asset, procedure, and failure scenario. We will map what must be modelled and which live signals matter.

Connected-product assessment

Bring one product. Leave with a clear next step.

Use 30 minutes to test the fit around one product and one blocked decision. If there is a fit, we will outline the two-week Product Blueprint.
